We belive that the lad named as Alan Smith is actually Ralph Collins and the lad behind Duncan Taylor is Walter Goddard, The lad named as Dennis Whitehouse we belive is Eric Biddle

In 1950 Mr Ward introduced us to Rugby League and the team photo is of the following:
Back row: Teacher Mr Ramsden, Brian Robinson, Graham Capes, Melvyn Durham (his son played Rugby League for Bramley and Wakefield Trinity), Gordon Bedford and Headmaster Mr. Ward.
Middle row: Paul Standish, Ian Harris (still well known at Stanley Rangers), Eric Carr, Malcolm Sampson (try scorer for Wakefield Trinity at Wembley), Tom Westerman, Terry Hargreaves,and Ted Crossley.
Front row: Tony Field, Norman Javens, Mick Haigh (still playing rugby union for the Rodillians in his 50s) and Walter Ringer.
